Nutritional Therapy

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based complementary therapy where the nutritional therapy practitioner uses a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns.

Nutritional therapy works well alongside conventional medicine and is relevant for people with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and well-being.

Nutritional therapists consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalized nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a “one size fits all” approach, in order to alleviate or prevent illness and promote good health.

The individual Nutritional Therapy consultation – 1 – 1.5 Hours

The first step is to complete a detailed health and nutrition questionnaire prior to the first consultation.  Working with the therapist you will identify and prioritise the issues you would like to address, and a unique plan of manageable nutritional and lifestyle changes will be agreed with you that will help you to start to progress and improve your health.

The therapist will also be able to arrange private clinical tests such as allergy, nutritional, digestive and hormone profiles, to help build a clearer picture of your health status and how it can be improved upon with food  sensitivity and, where appropriate, supplementation.
