Jo Farren is a qualified Medical Herbalist with over two decades of experience supporting people to feel better and live well. Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine in 2006, she is also a longstanding member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), the oldest professional body for herbalists in the UK. Jo brings a depth of knowledge and a genuinely caring approach to every consultation. She is currently a student of functional nutrition and continually develops her skills in order to best support the people she works with.
Jo specialises in supporting menstrual health and wellbeing, including everything from premenstrual syndrome to fertility struggles, to perimenopause and beyond. She has a keen interest in how stress influences that elusive hormone harmony and tailors support to ensure it is realistic and manageable in day-to-day life. Most people have complex, real lives including possible use of prescribed medications, potentially using additional therapies or navigating multiple health concerns at once: Jo’s strategy is always collaborative and non-judgmental, working alongside whatever else you may have in place in order to give you maximum benefit. The goal is simply to meet you where you are and find the most effective, safe way to support your health from there.
The focus of Jo’s approach is to help you find real relief from your symptoms while addressing the underlying causes, rather than simply masking them. It’s this root-cause philosophy that drew Jo to herbal medicine in the first place: a belief that natural, plant-based medicine, combined with genuine curiosity about what’s driving your health, can make a meaningful difference to how you feel.
