Adrian Stones is an integrative psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP. Rather than fitting clients to a single method, he tailors each piece of work to the person in front of him, drawing on psychodynamic ideas and paying close attention to the relationships that shape how we think and feel.
People come to therapy for many different reasons — sometimes a specific difficulty, sometimes a pattern that keeps repeating, sometimes simply a sense that something isn’t right without quite knowing what. Adrian is interested not only in what’s troubling you now, but in what lies underneath it. This isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about understanding yourself well enough for real change to happen.
Adrian works with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, relationship and intimacy difficulties, grief and loss, and questions of identity and meaning. He has a particular specialism in working with LGBTQ+ adults, offering a space where clients who have had to explain or justify who they are will not need to do that here.
He is currently completing advanced training in psychosexual and relationship therapy and is also a trained mindfulness teacher. Having held senior leadership roles across the private and charity sectors, he brings a first-hand understanding of the pressures that come with demanding workplaces.
Adrian offers a free initial appointment to talk through what’s bringing you to therapy and whether working together feels right. Sessions are weekly and can be arranged on a short-term or open-ended basis.
To arrange an initial appointment, please contact Adrian directly at [email protected].
